Unite in support of the Iraq southern oil workers strike
http://www.opednews.com/articles/opedne_kathlyn__060717_labor_and_peace_acti.htm

FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY HERE to show our support for
the Iraqi people folks!

-SNIPS-

The Iraq Freedom Congress (IFC) is mobilizing workers in Iraq to strike. The Oil Workers Union -- by far the country's largest and most influential --has voted to strike and numerous other unions and womens' and human rights organizations have agreed to support the strike. Talk of the strike has gained the attention of Prime Minister Noori Almaliki who has asked to meet with union leaders. With widespread international support the workers' demands for basic humanitarian needs and a democratic sovereign nation can be achieved.

The IFC has become known as "the last hope" to bring about unity among the Iraqi people and an end to the violence. One of its slogans is "No Sunnis, No Shiites, Ours is Human Unity." It is the only grassroots group working to create a unified, democratic, secular and progressive Iraq.

In preparation for the strike, those who support an end to the U.S. occupation can learn about the Iraq Freedom Congress by visiting www.ifcongress.com. The web site lists founding documents, news from Iraq, and a newsletter that explains more about the IFC, its activities and growing ties to American and other countries' peace, labor and justice groups.

Over the past several months, Cindy Sheehan and Gold Star Families for Peace, United for Peace and Justice, CodePink and other organizations have suggested nationwide sit-ins at Congressional offices as a method to force representatives to represent the will of the majority of Americans by calling for a quick and orderly withdrawal from Iraq.

What if they get a government that asks us to leave? Wouldn't that be a shocker.

OK, fine, thanks so much for all the "help" now pack up and leave...take your time, a couple of weeks would be fine.

What a plan.

5. Pakistan Workers Confederation also calls for general strike
(A few more of these and we might have a bona fide global movement. Mexican workers are in a strike mood. We need labor in the US, Canada or some European nation to step up next.)

Terrorism On The name Of Self-Defense

On the name of self-defense with the support of American imperialist, Israel brutally and shamefully attacked millions of innocent Lebanese People. We are very much shaken by the Israel army's brutal attack on the innocent people of Lebanon. In view of these humiliating attacks on the Lebanon, APTUF always condemned the imperialist forces aggression on innocent people and also Israel brutal attack on the Lebanon and Palestinian peoples.

If only for 2 soldiers Israel destroyed a country, than for 10000-kidnapped prisoner in the Israeli prisons, hizbolallah should eradicate Israel who refuses the basic human rights of the Lebanese to live in freedom and peace. How can Israel justify their self-defense by destroying every single infra structure facility available in Lebanon? Killing civilians in the name of self defense can not be tolerated, there is no justification for the Israel attack, destroying bridges and infrastructure is not the part of that, why bush is saying it is for self defense, if bush administration want a peace in middle east why they are not trying to stop it, it is a big shame for bush and Tony Blair. It is another big lie!!!!! Unlimited power and unlimited authority is major threat of world peace and justice.

Present Lebanon tragedy not only exposes actual face of so called champion of democracy and human right while also present impressive unity among people from around the world. Imperialists forces always try to dived people in name of religion, nation, race, colour and ethnic but people from around the world rejected these boundaries and express strong believe on humanity in stead of religions, nations, races, colours and ethnic.

Now we workers and people have more responsibility to continue our collective resistance and agitation for stopping fascist forces for creating further Afghanistan and Iraq and killing millions of millions innocent people. Palestinian and Lebanese people have right to defend themselves. They have a right to fight for their land and freedom.

Within this situation workers from around the globe must reject and strongly agitate against Governments' War madness and imperialist powers' fascists polices and conspiracies against people interests. Just workers collective and united struggle can bring peace, prosperity and sustainability in the region as well as in the world.

"Lets fight together for a world without exploitation and oppression"
