I want to share my love, thats right, love with Dean Supporters |
|
Dean has done as important a thing for this election as the eventual nominee will have done. He may even still be that nominee. Thats still not impossible. We could find out some heinous truth, that was in fact so heinous that it could not be denied. Repukes could knock of one of our candidates in some weird plane crash , or something. Wouldn't be the first time. Just tell your guy to be careful out there. And, should upcoming events determine a fine man like Dean will not go on to the G E, we here at Clark HQ, would give you a great big hug, if you came over to our camp:pals::grouphug::hug::loveya: Unless you aren't into hugging, then we'll just tell you: :yourock:

2. Dean/Clark or Clark/Dean!!! |
|
Thanks a bunch for your kind words, Mobius.
I still contend our guys should campaign as a complete "outsider" ticket and give the voters a real choice from Sen. John or Sen. John.

Boy would the repukes soil their linens! Dean opposed the Iraq War and has great budget and tax ideas! It could work! And whomever is VP, he can be President after the first guy gets his 8 years in. 16 years of Clark / Dean or Dean/Clark....ahhhh I LIKE the sound of that!

14. A Doctor and a General Vs. two Lawyers/Senators |
|
Such a matchup would give the Democratic primary voters a clear vision of what their choices are: A couple of guys who have actually done things out in the real world (like heal and protect people) or a couple of guys from inside Washington who've just voted on things and sat on committees.

And a realist, if throwing my support behind Clark is the only way to stop Kerry, I will gladly do it. If Dean is out of the race by the time of the Illinois primary, I will be voting for Clark.

Dean and Clark supporters have much more in common than they like to admit...both candidates stack up pretty much the same on the issues.
And a Dean/Clark (or Clark/Dean) ticket would ROCK!

5. The Dean/Clark alliance was discussed |
|
early on in October, 03. I think this is a good idea. An important plus for Dean is that he has opted out of Federal Campaign Funds....Dean/Clark can go full steam ahead and attack *bush.

|
Edited on Thu Feb-05-04 08:54 AM by IndianaGreen
He will have to deal with that just as Kerry must.
The question is what happens if Dean and Clark drop out and Edwards is the only ABK alternative.
Kucinich is not a factor unless he wins a primary.

8. If one goes back in the archives and searches for my thoughts... |
|
...on this nomination process, before it ever really geared up, I had said that I wanted there to be several candidates up until the convention. No coronations, we don't want to give the GOP one easy target to spend months flaying before November.
On Clark, I've long said that he has the potential to add a certain dynamic to the election. I think that he and Dean are the most capable of bringing in new voters, dissaffected Republicans, Independents, etc. Should we really be surprised at the treatment these two have received at the hands of the media and some in the Democratic leadership?
Oh, and conversely, in keeping with the spirit of love for the underdogs, if upcoming events determine...yeah, you know the rest.

19. Dean really got a raw deal |
|
from the press over his Iowa speech. Now they are obsessed with Janet's boob. I mean really... I'm honestly surprised that Clark wasn't blamed for it somehow. I become physically ill if i see more than 30 seconds of "news" on TV, before I :puke:

unless Dean backs off the "Clark is a Republican" talk, I don't know how any pie-in-the-sky wishing will happen.

All that matters is that Clark is a Democrat now. I'm sure Dean wouldn't criticize his fellow Vermonter, Jim Jeffords, because he "used to be" a Republican!

25. Agreed. That was a bad comment by Dean |
|
I wish that Dean would try and make nice with Clark. Dean should recognize that Clark has been more willing to attack Bush than either Kerry or Edwards. He shouldn't have called Clark a Republican, and Clark shouldn't have called Dean unelectable.

I'm afraid we'd still be dealing with wimpy Democrats trying to play nice while the opposition throws us dirty trick after dirty trick. Dean has been marginalized, but the effects of his strength changed this race permanently.
