"We will not change Iraq - Iraq will change us.." |
|
Bob Baer, ex-CIA operative said this on the Hardball show this evening. For some reason, that quote seemed to grab me. It has already changed us. In many ways, the same ways that Vietnam changed us. We will live with these changes for generations.

3. As an occupier you need to be brutal |
|
You cannot do otherwise. History full of this. History also show it does not work. Be as brutal as one wants cause it will only cause more resistance. Iraq is an occupation and a brutal one. Isreal has occupy lands not given to them and so the resistance continue till today. It will not end. It will go on and on until finally Isreal withdraw to it created land one created by the UN after world war 2. It will reduce the fighting but sadly I think there will people that will still fight to get back the land given to Isreal by gee the UN. But no matter there will be less people that crazy to want perpetual fight.
Isreal agressive response by going to Lebanon is stupid. They cant hold. They just stir up more resistance more perpetual killing.
