Clinton to help Lie-berman?
What the hell is that all about? We've got the jerk on the ropes and Clinton is going in to bail his sorry ass out? I'll lose a ton of respect for Clinton if he actually does this.

1. Bill Clinton has to do it...
Hillary lost tons of support from the NY Jewish community when she made this choice.

2. Its not really for Joe, its for Hillary
New York is next door and they know a lot about our local politics as we do about theirs. Its all a show and poor Joe probably really thinks its for him.

4. Think about that for a moment
Wouldn't it make more sense for Clinton to wait for the outcome and then support that candidate, if this is all about winning support from NY or CT? How does it help either Clinton to back a candidate that might lose? Maybe I'm missing what you're saying.

6. "Supporting" Lieberman = Jewish votes.

So even if Joe loses the hope is New York voters will remember it when Bill goes on the stump for Hillary. That is my theory anyway.

3. First, Clinton and Lieberman go way back, to the early 70s.
Lieberman helped Clinton get started in politics.

Second, many Democrats feel that Lieberman's otherwise great liberal record justifies his staying in office. Not saying I'm one of them--I'm angry at Lieberman, but I'm just as angry at SOME of the attacks on him and other Dems by people who aren't seeing the whole picture. I actually don't care who wins that race, and being well away from Connecticut, I don't have to care. I'm just interested in its outcome, and what that says about the party.

Third, Clinton has insights into politics, the party, and the world that none of us will ever have (except maybe ElizabethEdwards, and the way Ava is going, maybe her one day!). Rather than bashing a man that I've agreed with about 70% of the time on most issues (that's a high percentage for me to agree with anyone), I'd prefer to listen to his opinion and learn what I can from it. Not that I'll automatically agree with it. Just that I prefer to learn from people who know more than me.

Just stating my opinions, not telling anyone else what they should believe. Lieberman's hard to love, and the anger at him is easy to understand.

5. ...and then stabbed Bill in the back
Didn't Lieberman side with the GOP during the whole impeachment thing?

Clinton doesn't owe Joe squat!

7. No, he was the first Dem to criticize Clinton's actions, but he was agains
impeachment. That was choreographed, probably with Clinton's approval, even direction. Lieberman was hoping to set the tone of chastising Clinton without punishing him in any real sense.

10. Lie-berman's public criticism gave the pukes cover to impeach
He clearly stabbed Clinton in the back. I'm so damn sick of this guy.

9. God, to be a Republican today, you really have to warp your mind
I mean, rooting for Joe Lieberman six years after you were attacking him, and will attack him after the primary (if he wins), or begging him to run interference as an "Independent" ...

Hillary Clinton "supporting" Bush's actions ...

Bill Clinton coming out "for" Lieberman ...

It's enough to make a Repuke's head explode ...
