I probably know the answer, but I'm curious who rebuilds Lebanon
when this conflict is over? Surely, at some point in time, we will step up to the plate and make it part of the peace talks. It seems that's the only way we can resolve others' conflicts or persuade other countries to become our allies...by opening the purse.

we don't reconstruct countries ... we spend reconstruction funds on payrolls for mega-multi-national lobbying firms ...

4. It will be independent contractors paid by conglomorate nations
as usual.. I'm not sure how much the US has to offer anymore, seeing how we were charging Americans to evacuate lebanon.

6. It will probably be the same as last time...
In other words, some help from the richer Arab nations, some from Europe, but mainly it will be the job of the Lebanese themselves. As with last time, it will probably take 15-20 years. One thing you can count on -- not one thin dime will come from the U.S.

That not one thin dime will come from the U.S.? It seems that even if we only criticize a conflict, we end up rebuilding the country. I know that's an exaggeration, but it seems we spend an awful lot of money paying for wars.
