1. Take a sanity break when you need to

What good is it to have a movement filled with people who are having nervous breakdowns? Take care of your own soul, then you'll be able to do this other work later on.

I had to pull back from a lot of my involvement and go on anti-depressants. I should be meditating too, but I can't work up the energy. :eyes:

What I'm saying is, we periodically have these conversations at DU -- we're living in very dark times, and it's having an effect on all of us. We all need to occasionally take some personal time and do soul-work to see us through.

2. Everyone takes a break.

Don't sweat it. There's a point where everyone gets burned out here, and wanders off until they're ready to be back. Get's overwhelming, or people get frustrated that so little changes. There's fun stuff to do out there, try it for a while, come back when you feel in the mood.

5. OKDem, I CAN relate...

Events are happening fast and furiously - enough to give one intellectual and spiritual whiplash. I've always been told that good triumphs over evil, but where are the guys in the white hats? They seem to be sitting on their hands.

6. I was feeling the same this morning

I don't know it is the rain on top of all the other stuff recently or just burned out on the bull shit that is a result, directly or indirectly of the bu$h regime policies.

On the world front there is all the atrocities of the bu$h regime both domestically and globally.
On a personal front, I am wrangling with my wife loosing her job and the prospect of looking for another job in a different part of the country where she might be able to find a less stressful job in her area, it just is getting too deep.

But if we don't fight for what is right, it will never happen.

We have to just keep hanging on and on and on and on...

I was thinking much the same this morning. Maybe another sanity break for the lot of us will do us some good.

9. I think you do have to get away from it for a while but if you are like me

you always come back. I think that a new day is coming soon. I have hope for the people of the world. It takes disaster sometimes for people to wake up to what they need to do.
