Can the Pukes vote in the Conneticut Dem primary? |
|
And if they can will they vote for or against Lieberman?
I am wondering if they would rather have Joe as the Dem candidate or running as an Independant.
My guess is they may vote for Joe so as not to risk Lamont winning the primary and the general.

They would have had to switch to Democratic and the deadline for that was May 8 (for this primary). If you are non affiliated or a new voter and you switch to Democrat your registration takes effect immediately. But if you switch from one party to another it takes 90 days. As to whether they would vote for him over the Republican, contrary to what some posters are saying not all Republicans love Lieberman. A lot of them can't stand him and would never dream of voting for him. I do think there will be a Republican candiate. If its someone that the Repub voters don't feel is strong enough then I think some of them might vote for Lieberman but a lot of them will just stay home.

4. It also takes 90 days to change.............. |
|
your party affiliation. My wife went to change from repub (don't ask me why she was registered repub as she has always voted democrat) so she could vote against Lieberman. It won't take effect for 90 days.
