Not WWIII. This seems to be just another version of reliqous
warring. Last time it didn't count as a world war. Why this time? If it's a world war, then why isn't the US draft up and running or at least up and running expcept the enlisting? Why aren't businesses turning to produce more to help the war effort? Now, get China and Russia involved and then we'll talk. Right now, it's just a fkn shame.

1. Give it time. Germany invaded Poland in September '39 and
the U.S. didn't get directly involved for over 2 more years.

Okay. Sorry. Seriously, I don't think we can draw direct parallels to previous global conflicts. We can't say that a draft is required or rationing or Rosie the Riveter. WWIII is going to look very different from WWI or WWII.

Now that's not to say that I believe this is a foregone conclusion or what we are experiencing right now. I just don't think we can look to so-called "traditional expectations" in order to define whether or not we're involved in a world war.

3. This doesn't have much of a religious element
all the causes seem rooted around politics here.

4. Doesn't Iraq have vumerous religous groups with the larger ones
fighting for control? Not sure what encompasses Iran. Then Israel is thrown in the middle. How about Turky? Seems to me that area has been a mess for quite a while because of all the religous factions.

5. They may be organized in religious factions sometimes
But they're not fighting over religion. They really aren't. Just like the Catholics and Protestants in Ireland didn't fight over religion. It's about land, resources, money.
