Question: If a president locks up documents for, say, 50 years... |
|
is there any way the next or subsequent presidents can order those records opened before the end of that 50-year period?
I see major games of hide and seek in our future, before or at the end of this administration. Can Poppa's records, that favored son hid, be opened?

7. there are already in place laws to lock up the census |
|
I think that is 75 or 80 years. And I have no idea why, I've always been told it falls under *privacy*.
In this day and age with such aggressive marketers, it should be left alone.
But presidential records? No way. That, if anything at all, is why we should be pushing like madmen to get a Dem in office. We desperately need to review everything this administration has done -- EVERYTHING.
That should be the very FIRST thing done, if we win. Open the records up to lawyers AND the press.
And I know it won't ;-{

4. The next Dem. POTUS should unlock ALL the records of preceding POTUSi |

Of course if we are ever allowed to have a Democratic President again that person will mostly likely be only a ringer, a sworn and beholden tool of the same Fascist shadow state that put Bush where he is.

will continue to fight to have the one president I KNOW believes in open government and open books - John Kerry.
Clinton hurt this country and the world beyond measure when he chose to keep the books closed on BushInc.
