Why do a flag photo-op with first US aid to Lebanon? Photos-
I could not find photos that portray this as well as it was shown on tv. The US flag was huge and covered the entire stack of boxes with the excess hanging down all four sides. The stack looked to be about twenty feet square. Was this necessary? US stamped on the boxes would have been sufficient.

The Lebanese need a ceasefire to stop the bombing and killing.

U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Jeffrey Feltman speaks to the media during a handing over ceremony of the first shipment of humanitarian assistance to Lebanon, for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), inside the U.S. Embassy in Awkar, northern Beirut, Lebanon, Tuesday, July 25, 2006. The first shipment of American aid for Lebanon pulled into Beirut port Tuesday and humanitarian groups were pushing more truck convoys of blankets, medicines and flour to tens of thousands of refugees and residents in the war-torn south.

2. You are correct. But those aren't the kind of details this bunch was
trying to convey.

They were poking several sticks into the Lebanese. The ambassador was another one.
