RE: DU'ers who post on FR (Mods, this was supposed to be in GD! sorry.)
Edited on Tue Jul-25-06 08:27 PM by pepperbear
another thread was asking about DU'ers who are double agents, which prompted me to ask, are there Freepfuck 'double agents" here on DU?

:yoiks:

This is not a flame post and it's not meant to out anyone, but it stands to reason that there might be some DAs here at DU if there are some DAs at FR.

I must offer that I don't see the point, but I am just curious if anyone has ever been revealed as a freep who had 1000+?

1. Plenty of DUers on the 911 forum who are suspected of being DAs

It's unclear to me what you mean by "revealed". How could that be done?

2. I would hope it would be harder to detect over here
b/c we are supposed to be more tolerant of opposing views here. Over there if you don't march lock step you are tombstoned immediately. Once I was even threatened.

4. In fact, one of the right wing sewers for gun loonies
urges its trolls to rack up 1,000+ posts in the lounge on non-political subjects in an effort to fool the moderatotrs.

6. At the time of the 2004 Election. . .
a handful of posters "outed" themselves and were tombstoned. One was a particularly prolific and only slightly contentious poster, had to have had thousands of posts. So it happens.

Like you, I can't see the point. In the case of this one poster, I found his arguments for the most part in line with a lot of threads I read here, and didn't understand at the time why he "outed" himself. If he didn't want to post anymore, then just stop posting. He could have returned then when he wanted. To just "nyah nyah" the mods, though, seemed doubly pointless.

7. Locking
Flame-bait and incitement to troll-hunt.
If you see trolls, alert on 'em and let the Mod Squad do the grunt-work...
