Poll question: Trivia: Which senator has the highest approval rating FROM DEMOCRATS?
Edited on Wed Jul-26-06 09:25 AM by skipos
Barbara Boxer (CA)
Ben Nelson (NE)
Barack Obama (IL)

Of these three senators, who has the highest approval rating FROM DEMOCRATS within their state according to the SurveyUSA 50 state poll released today? Of these three, who has the lowest?

No cheating! Vote first and check your answer here:
http://www.surveyusa.com/50State2006/100USSenatorApproval060725Net.htm
Click on the link under "tracking graphs" and it will break down the poll by party ID, race, etc.

Of these three senators...

1. Just goes to show how many ignorant and ill-informed voters there are
on BOTH sides. I was wrong, but shouldn't have been. People who voted as they did, can't have all the facts and are only voting on what they've heard. I'll bet you anything.

2. All of their ratings from democrats are pretty good
especially when you compare them with Joe Lieberman.

3. I didn't think Obama was still that high.
I sort of expected him to be lower, considering he hasn't exactly been as advertised.

6. Dang. Only one person picked the right answer. Here it is:
Obama 86% approval from Dems in IL
Nelson 73% approval from Dems in NE
Boxer 68% approval from Dems in CA

For better or worse, these Democrats tend to get the approval of their Democratic constituents. And as someone has mentioned, Lieberman's Dem approval has been 45-50% in the last couple of polls. Hence, there is a good chance he will get kicked to the curb.

I thought Boxer would have higher approval than Nelson.

10. Part of it has to do with expectations and comparable politicians
Boxer compared to the average California pol is pretty good, but Nelson compared to some of those people in Nebraska is like Gandhi.
