Good News for all Working on Election Reform! Pressure is On in the MSM!

Diane Rheem's show on NPR had the two LAT's Reporters on Discussing their Book "One Party Rule" (or something like that) about how the Repugs have gained control over the Country by "micro-niche marketing." They talked about Gerrymandering and how powerful the marketing strategy of Karl Rove is yadda, yadda, yadda.

Anyway,and e-mailer asked if their book addressed the issues of Voter Disenfranchisement and Voting Machine problems that RFK had brought up in his Rolling Stone article and lawsuit . The reporters said they didn't cover that issue in their book but, they knew there was alot of talk about it by Democrats on the Left and other books had been written about the issue. Diane Rheem said "I hear about it ALL the TIME!" Thanks to that "E-Mailer" who brought up RFK's article and the issue so that Diane could confront the two reporters about it.

This is great news. I remember when the Right Wing first started to get noticed by constantly pounding the media with their message. I remember when for years after 2000 Selection no one would listen to us about the fraud in Florida and the Supreme's stealing the election. We were all called "Conspiracy Theorists." But, through the dogged work of folks here on Democratic Underground this message is taking hold and being focused on FINALLY. The two LAT's reporters seemed to be Repug Ops, btw.

Hey folks....Voting Rights Activists deserve a Big Toast and particularly the DU'ers who worked so hard on this...some who are still here and others who have gone off and are working on other sites. :toast:
