* gives female soldier a neck rub - Photos. |
|
I need to touch this guy too!
Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki (standing, 2nd L) is pictured alongside U.S. President George W. Bush (C) and U.S. soldiers as they pose for a souvenir picture after lunch at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, July 26, 2006.

Someday, he's going to surprise someone who's not going to see this coming, and Dimson's gonna get clobbered. Jeez, some folks just shouldn't be "touchie feelie." :puke:

if you don't laugh, you get shot. You better laugh the right amount of time too, since too much laugh is a suspicious behavior.

26. Drop the racist comments. They are not funny even cloaked in sarcasm. |
|
You are not even considering the possibiiity that some of the black people in this picture are Bush supporters. If so, they should be regarded as any other repuke, with disdain for their clouded political beliefs.
It is inappropriate to assume that they are stupid pawns being used by Bush just because they are soldiers and in the military. That is highly insulting.

What do you suppose Maliki sees in the top of that soldier's head?
And notice the "diversity" in these photos: You have 3 African American women (double points!), one that could be Hispanic, and I believe the fellow with the interesting noggin could be Native American. Think that was on purpose?

21. well, in theory he is her "commander-in-chief" |

I don't know if that translates exactly into "boss", but it's definitely a different power relationship than the one between Bush and the German Chancellor (who would be like the head of another corporation, rather than a lower-ranking employee).

what he did to the German chancellor was tacky, as are some of his other "head rubs" and "playful slaps". But what he's doing in this photo isn't tacky or inappropriate. I daresay that I can find dozens of pictures of Bill Clinton hugging people and the few times I was in a room with him I noticed that when he shook hands with people he had a tendency to put his other hand on the person (on their shoulder or arm, or on their hand). Didn't think that was tacky either.

But I can't recall seeing him touch anyone while laughing with others in the room. Of course, the "diverse" soldiers were part of the photo op.

35. Bush anywhere near the military is an obscenity. |
|
Every time I see one of these pics, I wonder how many in the photo are aware that Bush is sacrificing the military to his criminal acts (lying to the country in order to invade Iraq, holding himself above the Constitution with excessive signing statements, etc.).
I joined the military at a very young age and had political sensibilities then that added up to almost zero. I probably would not have been savvy enough to even know that I didn't know. When I see these photos, I wonder how many know about Bush constantly undermining national security (Leaker-in-Chief), or about his slacker military record, to name just one or two things that would put an expression on my face similar to the one worn by the seated gentleman on Bush's right.
