1. Those kids better get use to selling lemonade.
When dumbya gets done with our economy and educational system, it's all these kids will have.

14. Then can we at least take credit for THESE people, too?

President Bush visits Charleston for fundraiser (4:19 pm)
Dave Gustafson
Staff writer

President George W. Bush arrived in Charleston at 4 p.m. Friday for a private fundraiser for U.S. Rep. Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va.
Air Force One touched down at Yeager Airport at 4 p.m. Bush and Capito got off the plane and were greeted by Gen. Allen Tackett, head of the state’s National Guard.

(snipping)

People lined the motorcade route along Greenbrier Street and Kanawha Boulevard. Protestors outnumbered supporters until the motorcade got into South Hills.

Some of the signs read “How Many More Bodies?”, “Warmonger” and “Thank God For Term Limits.”
Some Bush-Cheney campaign signs were also visible.

MORE

Fuuny how a person can't sustain a WV thread on this forum unless it's one to ridicule.

16. A state gets credit for the good, the bad, and the ugly...
...hey, trust me. If those photos were taken in California...my state...I would have posted the same thread, with "California" in the subject line instead of "West Virginia."

I don't know anything about West Virginia, never been there...I just know that "God Bless W" signs turn my stomach. As far as the protests, maybe the Charleston Gazette documented them, but Yahoo News went for the pics of Junior "buying" lemonade. It's unfair, it sucks, and it's the news media in George Bush's America. That's the way things are done now. "Fair and Balanced" has been reduced to a slogan for Fox News, and beyond that, it's lost all meaning and relevance.

Finally, I'm ridiculing the people in the photo...primarily due to the fact that I consider them to be clueless effing idiots...but I'm not ridiculing the entire state of West Virginia (see paragraph 2 above).

3. hmm...

I don't think God is really under any obligation to answer anyone's prayers. Having said that:

I hope this is one prayer that goes unanswered...

Is that mean? Oh well, I guess its okay to be mean sometimes.

15. I want God to bless him too
Because he's been a huge curse on our country so far.
Maybe God will bless him with a brain, a conscience and a soul.

Edited on Thu Jul-27-06 06:59 AM by Lasher

Members of West Virginia Patriots for Peace hold a banner
on the South Side Bridge that lists the names of all the
American military members killed in the Iraq war as President
Bush’s motorcade drives past.

More than 50 protesters lined up along the South Side Bridge as Bush rode by on the way to the fundraiser and again on the way back. Many flashed peace signs while one man showed his middle finger.
