Many Thanks to DU Politics Bloggers
Good morning. First, a word of "thanks" for DU's coverage of our impeachment efforts early on in our campaign. You may know me as the progressive Democratic RI US Senate candidate with the cajones to display the "Be Patriotic Impeach Bush" billboard along I-95. This message buzzed through the blogosphere and the netroots had briefly adopted our efforts as their own. It has garned the support of David Swanson and Bob Fertig among others... For this we are grateful.

Often what has been lost, as this billboard remains six months later with tens of thousands of dollars spent to do so, is that it was a national rallying point of like minded citizens to ensure the rights and laws of Our Constitution were preserved and protected as every elected official and military service personnel swears an oath to do; hence, it's presence in the background of the billboard.

The bipartisan panel of the American Bar Association and Sen. Arlen Specter (PA - R) have also conveyed the executive authority of Bush has been exceeded by abusing the signing letters. This is something we already have known through his other amoral acts.

I wanted to acknowledge your blog and fellow readers for their frequent visits to our campaign website. It is one of the top referring sites.

We have under 50 days until our primary and are making steady progress with many anti-war, antiBush PACs endorsing and supporting our campaign. We don't have the resources of Lamont in neighboring CT; however, we have the supporters and heart.

As an aside, blog princess and anti-war icon, Ava Lowery (15 y/o) has created our first campaign commercial which will begin airing this weekend. We have purchased 220 spots for a two week period, which is a very expensive proposition. It can be previewed at our website at www.carlsheeler.com.

Also, I am humbly asking supporters consider showing their generosity by adopting their little state candidate, and ensuring one of the most achievable US Senate seats be used to stop the GOP control of Congress. It's your senate seat as well as Rhode Island's.

Keep up the good fight...

Fellow DU'er

I think it would be great if all or as many as can afford it- would put up a similar bill-board!

Cost of the War in Iraq
$299,125,049,615
(and of course so much more than $ )
Two hundred and thirty years ago in May, Rhode Island became the first colony to declare independence from England and its tyrannous King. Of, For and by the: It is time for Rhode Island to declare an end to the illegal rule of our President.

Declare our Independence, and restore our democracy!
I like that theme. my somewhat lame version.
