Dean supporters should vote for Kerry, if only to...

Make sure that Kerry stands behind every one of his promises. The reason that we are where we are now is because Bush was given a pass on every one of his campaign promises that he broke. If Kerry wins the election by co-opting Dean's platform, then it is our duty, as Dean supporters, to be on Kerry's case any time he chooses to waver.

It was Dean who moved left. Kerry was always there and has a 35 year record that backs it up.

But I am realistic in that Dean's chances are slim at this point. I am afraid that Dean's run may have been all for naught if he is supressed by the Democratic Party after he withdraws from the race. All I am saying is that we should follow Dean's lead, and we should remain outspoken critics. Unfortunately we are in a catch-22 situation. We can't see if Kerry will keep his promises unless he actually becomes president. Once he is president, he can choose to ignore us. We should let him know that he should ignore us at his own peril.
