According to today's Orlando Sentinel .....

Katherine Harris and Bill Nelson are slated to have their highest-profile debate, right before the election, right here at UCF with Tim Russert moderating. Since Russert's sharp-as-a-tack questioning proved to be the undoing of Democrat Bill McBride in 2002, it only seems fair he even the scales by doing the same to a Republican ... not that Harris has much to undo ... or that we even have a 100 percent guarantee she'll be in the race then.


I hadn't heard of any debate plans prior to this, maybe I wasn't paying attention at the right time. But frankly, I believe Nelson is doing her an overwhelming courtesy by granting a debate when it's obvious how far in the hole she is poll-wise.

Harris is an idiot. I saw part of her debate against Jan Schneider for the representative seat and she is completely clueless. We can use her inept responses as major ammunition against the other Republicans here in FL. We can paint Harris as the face of the Republican party. Bill Nelson is a very knowledgeable and well seasoned politician. He can deal with a media whore like Russert. It will be a show of high comedy as Katherine implodes on national tv.
