Estate tax versus minimum wage
I read recently that eliminating the estate tax would benefit only the top 1/4 of the top one percent. I don't have the real numbers about how many people are making the minimum wage, but I would think it could be nearly 20 % of our work force. Let's see: 1 in 400 (estate tax) versus 1 in 5 (minimum wage). Maybe we should let the affected parties vote it out.

1. I don't know for sure, but I think I heard CNN describe the
situation as raising the minimum wage as well as including other popular tax cuts!

2. I agree with this scenario as my previous post says, BUT
maybe it should be voted down, and then passed once the Dems get control. I know it's a double edge sword right now.

3. If the republiCANTS force the Billionaires tax cut the Dems should VOTE IT
DOWN. After November we can double the minimum wage and double the taxes on the top 1% as well as all corporate taxes. If you do not pay US taxes you can not sell in America.

4. I don't have numbers
but I expect that MW will affect wage and salaried employees on all of the lower tiers by providing a greater taxable income. That would affect probably 80% of the population. It would take that much to compensate for the loss in revenues from the estate tax. That seems like a zero gain effect unless you happen to be one of those in the minority.

5. Would the minimum wage law really benefit those 20%?

I agree, some of them would be better off (those that stay employed), but what if their employers don't deem their work to be worth the new higher wage? What happens then? Answer: unemployment.

7. That is BS it has been shown that increasing the MW increases economic
activity and increases the number on MW jobs to be had. Quit with the RW talking points.

6. Reject this
I cannot stand how they attach things that have nothing to do with one another. What's next? that gay marriage and fund body armor for the troops bill? or did they already do that?
