Do we want a repeat of November, 2002?
In the discussions about the Georgia 4th District races and the choices for conservative Democrats over liberals, I see a trend that is reminiscent of 2002. We even have that stupid pro-Israel resolution that most Jews even condemn that voters will look at to say "Who represents me?" Most Americans want a cease-fire.

This year, the majority of Democrats in Congress have repeatedly backed a continuation of Iraq, funding for Iraq, resolutions supportive of war in Iran and Palestine and supportive of the massacre in Lebanon. Recently, it was pointed out to me that more voters are Muslim than Jewish in America. Not smart votes if we want to win in November.

A handful of courageous Democrats are consistently standing up against the Bush Administration and they are repeatedly getting trashed here. No offense intended but that is certainly how it looks from the postings.

I figure that those who are trashing the anti-war Democrats will dislike what I have to say and I don't care. I need to say this because if there are enough people here who care about seeing a Democratic victory this fall, then I know they will stand up for the liberals who have repeatedly opposed war and opposed Bush and remember these leaders who have backed the people and stand with them against the right-wing of both parties.

16. Hey, Einstein
The Republican he supports is ant-aid to the poor, anti-affirmative action, anti-helping the victims of Hurricane Katrina, anti- Medicare and anti-extension of the Voting Rights Act.

You're clearly one poster with misplaced priorities.

19. At your service
I responded to your post, which in turn was a response to the OP. You refered to the original poster, I have defended him.

You're arguing potatoes, I'm arguing apples.

The theme of the original post is the aspersion cast by a certain crowd in DU - you know, the GOP/DLC fifth column that regularly dismisses progressives. If ANYTHING supports the GOP it is trashing the very basis of the DNC... or supporting the DLC.

Ipso dixit.

He's a hypocritical one issue voter. When the Iraq war is over, the Republicans he supported will still be anti-everything I listed.

Care to say who those candidates are, perhaps? I am really interested.

you'd feel more comfortable amongst a different crowd, no?

You rail against the "far left" in a party that is considered "center right" everywhere else around the world.

In the discussions about the Georgia 4th District races and the choices for conservative Democrats over liberals,

Hank Johnson is not a conservative. But YOU support a conservative Republican, don't you?

Recently, it was pointed out to me that more voters are Muslim than Jewish in America.

Patrick Henry Club again?
