1. Good to hear this
Too many evangelical megachurches have turned themselves into GOP PACs.

And good to hear that there are Christians who do not believe in theocracies.

“I am sorry to tell you,” he continued, “that America is not the light of the world and the hope of the world. The light of the world and the hope of the world is Jesus Christ.”
This is a good quote - as a Christian who doesn't live in the US, I've gotten mighty tired of Fundamentalist Americans portraying themselves as the Saviors of the world!

Edited to add quote and comment on it.

4. This is a must read. Some statements took my breath away.
For example:

Mary Van Sickle, the family pastor at Woodland Hills, said she lost 20 volunteers who had been the backbone of the church’s Sunday school.

“They said, ‘You’re not doing what the church is supposed to be doing, which is supporting the Republican way,’ ”

5. A breath of sanity
The Reverend Gregory Boyd is a true Christian.

I'm recommending this.
