Jimmy Carter the world needs you ASAP |
|
I look back with sadness on the mean things I said about this really good man from Georgia .... I was young.
But, we need him ASAP to go to the Mid East and talk to everybody and get a cease fire then work on the peace and politics.
One more mission Jimmy? Please

1. Jimmy has been outspoken on this issue... after he left office. |
|
He has rightly said that it is Israel that is blocking efforts for real peace. Nothing that any current Dem would say outloud, but we must do so. It is really up to us to make change. Common folks make things happen. Join a protest. Organize a protest. Do something!

If there is anyone in this world with the diligence and committment to peace than Nobel Prize Laurate former President Carter has, I don't know who it would be.

3. Don't s'pose we could persuade him to get involved? |
|
All sides of this conflict might be more willing to deal with a real President instead of Condiliar and her husband

4. I agree wholeheartedly... |
|
we need to get a group of sane people, some TRUE diplomats, some people that actually give a shit about humanity and peace to go over there and make some things happen.

6. But he's in his 80's... |

If the Lord could give him the strength for just one more mission? He is needed.

7. It might take a Carter/Clinton tag team |
|
Carter is not exactly trusted in the Israeli community, yet he has cachet in the Arab realm. Clinton's strength can make up for Carter's deficiency.
My dream team would be Carter/Clinton/Nasser, but that might be a little difficult to pull together.

8. History has been forgiving to Jimmy Carter |
|
Edited on Sun Jul-30-06 07:37 PM by Sam Odom
Remember, 2 Dem conventions after his presidency didn't invite him to attend. Substances during his years, 1976-80, ushered in the Repub takeover. Prez Carter is a good man, one of the best, but was lacking politically.
