Musings over coffee and "donut holes"..... |
|
Important reading in the Boston Globe today. The article is by Susan Levine of the Washington Post.
Seniors are now facing in great numbers, the "gap" in prescription drug coverage. This foolish and ill-conceived program has struck hard on those most vulnerable, our senior population. In discussing this situation over the breakfast table, my better half put forward a thought. This drug plan sure is a way to thin out the elderly population. If you can't afford to buy your pills, the net result will be your earlier than expected demise. One less voter who would remember the horrors of war and the results of crooked administrations. Of course when your one-month supply of one pill goes from $20 to $175.00, when they still take your premium for this drug coverage from your Social Security check, it makes it hard to buy food and pay the rent. Something has to go, I bet it is the pills. This plan offers so many perks for drug companies and so many pitfalls for the elderly. The government ought to be ashamed.

Come renewal time will many of them understand that all those plans have that same hole or will they think that only their plan is the BAD one?

3. Dems should hammer this home: "The Republican Drug Plan..." |

Tell them the truth again and again--they are suffering because of the Bush Republican Drug Plan. Man, how much simpler can it get?
