Any July 29 Dem stories?

Did I miss the glowing tales of all the activists getting together on Saturday to get ready for a push in the 100 days leading up to the elections? Will give you the quick version of ours.

We're new to town, but connected with a local Dem organizer via a post in DU. Got to meet and visit with the local candidates for Congress, DA, and state rep. Also workers for the Senate candidate. Got our registration paperwork and some of the literature for the other candidates as well. Was a nice way to spend an afternoon, even had hot dogs and cold drinks to go along with the politicking.

Hope others had the chance to participate in their town.

1. I posted two, someone else posted one. They disappeared.

It made me feel like what's the use anymore. We felt so good Saturday that people showed up who had not been active in years....but coming here was a downer.

I did a search, and only found my 2 posts and one by globalvillage.

That's it. Out of over 85,000 people. DU now is more about 08 candidates or condemning Dems for not being perfect.

2. 2 Reunions that I know of here in K.C. for a total of about 100 people.

I talked to 2 people who were there networking for other groups.

3. I think Florida had 42 or maybe more.

With not a mention from the state party website. Even in a phone conference it was not mentioned by them. But 42 areas had them anyway. Pictures are being sent in to the party.

4. Good, was afraid the lack of stories

meant there was a no participation. Know there were folks at ours that were taking pics/videos.

5. I think there was a lot of participation. DNC not that popular here.

Not really. The DNC is going to be sharing more stories, and I will see if I can find the link to post here. It is just not a very good site for the DNC.
