What is wrong with the man? I mean, seriously... Did he and Zell Miller both have hemorragic cerebrovascular accidents that went undiagnosed?

8. When someone asks me "what the hell is a DINO???"
All I have to do is mention his name. They "get" it immediately. No other explanation is needed, and sometimes it gets a good laugh, too. Thanks, Joe!

9. The funny thing is
Joe has finally sunk so low - what with college republicans canvassing for him, paid disruptors causing scenes at Lamont rallies, and even screening his own audiences - that DU's faithful Joe loyalists have stopped hectoring the rest of us for wanting him gone. They are reduced, at least until Wednesday morning, to posting about "desperate" Cynthia McKinney, and haven't dared post in a Joe thread in days, at least not that I have seen.

This is a good thing. So yes, thank you, Joe, for stooping so low that you finally became publicly indefensible to your most dedicated fans. Even the True Believers are apparently at a loss to explain away your current behavior.

16. Oh remember when............

He was made a member of the flagpin group!

He told George he had the coolest signature EVER!

Sen. Joseph Lieberman, D-Connecticut:

"The war in Iraq is a task of high justice and necessity."

"There is not an inch of difference between me and the President over this war."

"It's time to come together and support our great American men and women in uniform and their Commander-In-Chief."

"It has been my view for 12 years that Saddam Hussein must be removed from power if we are to have a more peaceful world and more secure America."

17. Thanks for the memories!
Thanks for the memory
Of things I can’t forget
Journeys on a jet
Our wond’rous week in martinique
And vegas and roulette
How lucky I was

And thanks for the memory
Of summers by the sea
Dawn in waikiki
We had a pad in london
But we didn’t stop for tea
How cozy it was

Now since our breakup I wake up
Alone on a gray morning-after
I long for the sound of your laughter
And then I see the laugh’s on me

But thanks for the memory
Of every touch a thrill
I’ve been through the mill
I’ve lived a lot and learned a lot
You loved me not and still
I miss you so much

20. “Politics is the world's second oldest profession...."
Lieberman probably demonstrates something former President Reagan is attributed to have once said regarding politics / politicians:

“Politics is the world's second oldest profession. I have come to realize that it bears a striking resemblance to the first” Ronald Reagan

In many respects, most politicians probably follow the 80-20 rule of business. Since most elected officials find their way into office through the same election process, campaigns funded primarily by the lobbyist-corporate-military complex, it stands to reason where their loyalties lie.

Lieberman is perhaps like most politicians a causality of a faulty system. It requires one hell of a strong personal constitution not to loose sight of your principles especially after many years of being subjected to the huge temptations our current election system places a person to.

We need to change the system to a fully public funded campaign process and perhaps turn out to pasture most of the elected officials holding office, especially those who have held offices for many years, and re-populate Washington with a new generation of politician not tainted by the lobbyist-corporate-military funded elections and the incest this has created.

21. Joe Lieberman looks like a leprechaun and speaks like...
a chronically constipated Elmer Fudd.

But leprechauns and Elmer Fudd are kind of cute.

There, I just said something nice about Joe Lieberman.

25. Joe Lieberman has done some admirable things...
He did risk bodily harm participating in the freedom rides in the 1960's...

Civil Rights hero John Lewis thinks enough of his efforts to continue to support him...

He has also been quite good on the environment, and staunchly opposed to drilling in ANWR...
