Pete Rickets ad lays out why Repubs just don't get it.
This is the Republiclown running against Ben Nelson. He has unintentionally illustrated that Republicans are in la la land and have no idea what people are going through. From his new television ad:

"It seems everyday Ben Nelson and the democrats have a new attack ad out against me. That's what career politicians do. There are more important issues, like the high taxes we pay, out of control deficits, and the erosion of our values. . . . . . . . . . . ."

These are the issues?!?!?! Deficits I will give him, but what about energy? What about the war? What about healthcare? What about rural/ag issues facing Nebraska? I can't believe how out of touch the republicans still are.

3. In that light... offer three things that are more immediate:
Jobs... Income keeping pace with energy inflation... escalating Health Costs (of interest both to voters and to employers).

Keep it simple - is right. The issues the candidate are pushing only work when the general public is feeling economically secure. Counter with issues that people worry about on a daily basis - you know, issues associated with the democratic party.

And the fools in the GOP circles are puzzled why Nelson is no longer considered vulnerable to being beaten in the general elections.

2. To Pete Ricketts, there is only one issue: taxes
He spends his entire life whining about and disputing the real estate valuation on his house, and he recently stated that taxes are the #1 issue facing Nebraskans.

No, Pete, taxes are *your* #1 concern, not Nebraskans'. He is ridiculously out of touch.

5. yes, you're absolutely right
he's in this race for 3 reasons and none of them have anything to do with "Conservative Values". 1) To privatize social security and give his Ameritrade a boost. 2) To lower taxes on himself 3) To scrap the estate tax for himself

7. Does he mention who gave us those "out of control deficits"?
My guess is probably not, but someone should really ask him.
