Tom Tancredo--Why no Dem equivalent working for Bush Impeachment...
stolen elections, 9/11 truth etc. Aren't the Chimp's crimes worthy of some Democrat(s) working tirelessly over the years to get media attention and action?

1. Who's Tom Tancredo?
Whoever he is, he doesn't have a clue: there's plenty of Dems who've been pursuing the issue of verified elections. As for impeachment -- even some of the most liberal Democrats have said that it's not worth pursuing because it wouldn't get anywhere and would take the focus off other things -- like the upcoming election.

6. Thanks. But why is he wondering why Democrats
aren't pursuing impeachment charges, election fraud, etc.?

11. the one who got caught hiring illegals to do remodeling work on his house?
who then explained that it was the only way he could afford the work? Who was apparently only embarassed about his lack of consistency for a couple of months (that is he quieted down his publicity seeking immigrant bashing stunts) - before coming back on strong and trusting that folks would forget his little story (and they seem to have done so.)

18. Tancredo: "Prosecute the EMPLOYERS for illegal hiring"
Tancredo clearly wants to start by prosecuting employers. Here is a direct quote from Tancredo from the article:

"John Hawkins: Wow. Realistically, what are we going to have to do to get rid of the illegal aliens who are already here?

Tom Tancredo: If we in fact were to begin enforcing the law against people who are hiring people who are here illegally, we would go a long way toward eliminating the problem. Because if you dry up demand, you naturally dry up supply. If we had true enforcement of our laws from an employer's standpoint, then you would find that many of the millions of people who are here would go back home. Then the ones who remain, we could begin deporting -- and, yes, I mean deporting, the word nobody wants to use, but you see if you are here illegally, that's the punishment, deportation.
"

Great article, by the way. I completely agree with Tancredo. He's right on the money on illegal immigration.

22. yeah, he wants to deport 13 million people
his solutions are not realistic -

it's just politicking. If he got his way, the economy in his own district would collapse. This is a guy who hired illegals to paint his own house, after all.

25. No
He's not advocating deporting 13 million illegal immigrants.

He's advocating prosecuting employers and allowing for attrition of that 13 million. Once attrition has maxed out, he advocates considering deportation for the remainder, with the idea that the number remaining will be a small fraction of the initial 13 million.

Even still, if the bulk of that 13 million return to their countries of origin, we'd have only a small fraction of the problem with illegal immigration that we have today. And it's unlikely anyone would even attempt to deport the remainder. It simply wouldn't make a big enough difference to be worth considering.

As excited as an impeachment would make me (and I'll take the day off and throw a party!), what's the point until we have the votes??

4. The guy's a certified whackadoo....
He was the one who was for nuking all the Muslim Holy Sites in ME to show 'em we mean business.

'Nuff said. They guy isn't firing on all cylinders. Hates immigrants bigtime, too.

We should be doing everything we can to get him to run for the Republican nomination.

7. Maybe because Dems are out of power
and removing a bad pubbie president should be the job of whatever party is in control of Congress, his own party.

In other words, it's THEIR job and they're not doing it. If the Dems get the majority in 2007, then they will have no choice. They will have to act to remove this administration.

to draw attention to the massive Bush crimes. Either they are scared or have lost the phone numbers to the media.

13. I am still puzzled.
DU Election Reform does a superlative job, day by day, of chronicling the exploding number of actions, both legal and social, taking place all over the country.
The election fraud issues are becoming almost common knowledge and the numbers of books, articles, and speeches are unprecedented. The snowball is rolling; critical mass has been reached and, IMO, surpassed.

At this point, we are at a cusp, with quivering doubt at each now case and a subtle undercurrent that the crooks are getting crushed, slow motion. We've done it but don't yet know it or afraid to incur the wrath of the gremlin-lossaluck.
I am proud of and in awe of the tremendous effort put out by the progressive heroes and gratified at the mountains they are moving.

15. The media has caller ID.
There is no desire on their part to spread the message of Democracy unless it's spun by the GOP.

21. Conyers has done good work, but where is the sense of urgency.
Many Democrats have spoken out to an extent, but considering the horrendous damage done, it falls short of the strong media campaign that should have begun years ago.

24. A strong media campaign? That would require the support of the...
...media, dontcha think? The so-called Liburl Media.

Where were they when Conyers was jerked around just trying to get a room to hold hearings on the Downing Street Minutes, for one example?
