DU Ad featuring a "toon-esque" Rove
That inescapable "D'oh" DSCC ad in the side panel of DU with Rove wearing a halo/nimbus of cartoon stars circling his head, as if he were Wile Coyote or Daffy Duck just bopped on the head, really annoys me. As far as I'm concerned, Rove is one of the most crucial, powerful & evil figures ever to crop up in United States political history and should not be trivialized or marginalized by the cartoon treatment, as if he were some harmless or laughable buffoon.

1. Reducing one's enemy to a figure of comedy is part of winning the fight
...Would you prefer he be approached as some looming nigh-undefeatable evil? A Right-Wing Smaug, perhaps? By reducing his size through laughing at him, he becomes an easier and more pliable target, one that you're more willing to stand up to.
