Oh Goody - The DSCC Pretending To Be Cool
So I clicked on the ad (on DU) which shows Karl Rove seeing stars... and it turns out to be "The Fudge Report", a takeoff on The Drudge Report put up by the DSCC (Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee) with a nutty leftish edge, that mostly seems to be about character assassination of Republican candidates.

Am I the only one that is irritated by the Republican-lite DSCC (who've threatened to support Lieberman even as an independent, as I recall)? They're trying to act like grass-roots Democrats, but actually only continuing to engage in their "we just suck less than the Republicans" strategy, all the while doing the bidding of whoever hands them the most shekels.

At least DU's getting some revenue from this (I assume).

1. Slightly off topic but it nauseates me to see Rove's face...
...every time I go to the Latest Threads page. A few months ago, another ad featured the chimp's face. That was even worse.

2. Yeah...Republicans like...
Edited on Mon Aug-07-06 03:06 PM by SaveElmer
Barbara Boxer, Jack Reed, Barack Obama, Ron Wyden....

All on the DSCC leadership team...

The same DSCC that is supporting progressive, PDA endorsed, anti-war candidate Sherrod Brown...

On edit: Oh that's right...I just realized Barbara Boxer IS a Republican-lite...she campaigned for Joe Lieberman...:sarcasm:

3. No, what irritates me
are (alleged) Democrats who think it is cool to bash Democrats.

So, you think the DSCC is Republican-lite? Perhaps you can buy a clue.

5. Perhaps You've Missed The News. For A While.
Schumer and Reid won't rule out backing Lieberman as an Independent! Pretty amazing stuff from a group that claims to represent Democrats! I suppose that this makes the DSCC a fraud, not necessarily Republican-lite.

However, the bulk of the DSCC's leadership (except Boxer) have stood idly by while Bush and the Rethugs have viciously violated our Constitution. They've done nothing to further the cause of Democrats, except raise money (which might support an Independent Lieberman!) and hope that the Republicans stay further to the Right than they are. They are not Democrats; they are despicable.

Perhaps this bobo's post is the sort of thing the GOP hired the Greenparty to do.

9. I'm not sure I understand
You seem to have a problem with them bashing Republicans and say the site has a nutty leftish edge, but then you turnaround and say they are Republican-lite? I don't get what you are really trying to say/
