FOX’s Lamont-Lieberman Coverage, Fair & Balanced

FOX just did a segment on Lamont-Lieberman. Highlights:

Lieberman: If I lose tomorrow, the message is there is no room in the Party for “strong on security” Democrats.

Karl Cameron: Lamont has “smeared” Lieberman, according to many.

Lieberman tells FOX he’s likely to run as an Indy if he loses primary

1. Lieberman implied that those who oppose Bush one security...
issues (that is, we don't agree with him) then we are guilty of treason.

what pisses Democrats off so much about you.

"Lieberman: If I lose tomorrow, the message is there is no room in the Party for “strong on security” Democrats."

So the entire party is not "strong on security" if you lose.

Helloooooo? No, I don't think you've "heard" what the Democrats are trying to tell you.

Going to War with Iraq did not make the US more secure. It did the opposite.

Good Grief.

He's hopeless.

Please, Connecticut, boot this guy tomorrow.

He still doesn't have a clue.

7. I had to go to fox to hear it for myself, I couldn't believe he'd
say something that would hurt the party.
:sarcasm:

Here's the full quote from the video.

"I do fear that uh um the message that will be taken if I . . . I don't win this tomorrow. Will be that in the Democratic party there's no room for strong on security democrats and that, that's the wrong message."

8. If Joe wins tomorrow
It'll be a sign that the Democratic Party continues to support the Iraq War, thus has no room for me in their party.

9. Strong on security =support of a war we didn't need to fight?!!?
Edited on Mon Aug-07-06 09:12 PM by NCarolinawoman
Hey Joe, you chickenhawk!!! Tell that to Wes Clark! Our military has been ruined, and nobody respects our country anymore. Your support of this war has created more terrorists!

%&%@*%*%$ I can't believe he's dumping on Democrats again and implying we are weak on National security because we think that attacking a country that NEVER attacked us is wrong.

:grr:

10. OK, now I see what others despise in this guy

My rooting interest in Lamont increased at least tenfold based on this one comment alone.

Agreed, an absurd and disgraceful and disloyal implication. To make it on the eve of the primary when his words and meaning are amplified is even more disgusting and telling.
