Lieberman's flop sweat: "Look at me, folks - I'm not George Bush"
'I'm not Bush,' pleads trailing Lieberman before vote

BY MICHAEL McAULIFF
DAILY NEWS WASHINGTON BUREAU

http://www.nydailynews.com/front/story/441478p-371823c.html

"This is my closing argument to the people of Connecticut," Lieberman said after a speech at Bridgeport's New Vision Evangelical Ministries, where he was accompanied by D.C. Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton.

"It's not just about Iraq," Lieberman said, casting himself as a progressive who has fought for health care, Social Security, education and the environment.

Portraying Lamont as a political novice and an opportunist, Lieberman complained that Lamont has spent $4 million of his own money on a campaign of "smears" and "lies" to link the relatively conservative senator with President Bush.

"Look at me, folks - I'm not George Bush," Lieberman said, pointing to his 18 years in the Senate. He has vowed to stay in the race on an independent line if he loses the primary.

3. Did he give 1/10th as much consideration to a single one of our fallen
as he now requests on his own behalf?

"Look at me, folks - I'm not George Bush," Lieberman said, pointing to his 18 years in the Senate. He has vowed to stay in the race on an independent line if he loses the primary.

"Look at me, folks - I'm not George Bush cannon fodder," Lieberman the enlisted man/woman said, pointing to his/her 18 years in the Senate on the earth. He/she has vowed to stay in the race service of their country on an independent line if he loses the primary trusting that their fellow citizens will see that they aren't sent to war for lies.

4. Lieberman's right about one thing
It's not just about Iraq. It's about enabling the war, trading away the filibuster, the only weapon the Democrats had in the Senate, and time and again padlocking the stable door after the horse was long gone. A lot of ass-covering votes after a lot of votes to invoke cloture, knowing that the issue was decided and his "no" vote didn't mean a goddam thing.

This sounds exactly like the big corporate defendant in suit after suit: "The plaintiff said it wanted to get the industry's attention with this lawsuit. Well look at our table, ladies and gentlemen of the jury: Seven high-priced lawyers who bill more for an hour's work than you make in a week {okay, they don't actually say that part}, three or four corporate dummies from corporate headquarters, and all this time and effort. I'd say the plaintiff has gotten the industry's attention. Shouldn't that be enough? Please find in favor of my corporate client, who is really, truly, deeply sorry . . . it got caught."

6. HAHAHAHA!!!!!
"I'm not George Bush" - my gawd, the hypocrisy of this man knows no limit!!

After telling fellow Democrats not to criticize Bush on the Iraq War, "you're undermining the credibility of the President" - as if Bush had ANY!

Then ol'Joe whines "It's just that they are blaming me for supporting the war."

What a clown!!

8. "Welcome to the Democratic Party"
Remember that in Wes Clark's first debate where he tried to portray him as a novice and opportunist? Did it help Joe become President?

The Democratic Party doesn't belong to Joe Lieberman, and hopefully Joe will soon not belong to the Democratic Party.
