Only three sitting members of Congress were elected President. All of them - James A. Garfield in 1881, Warren G. Harding in 1923, and JFK in 1963 - died in office.
I have a feeling either Edwards or Kerry will be our nominee. If so, and they're elected, May God Save Them!

But I do worry about him: campaigning so hard and still working for his Congressional constituents, studying every bill, and showing up for EVERY vote!!
He's up to the workload of the Presidency, all right!!
