Democrats Cleaning House
Edited on Tue Aug-08-06 07:51 PM by princehal
Let's show the Puggies that Democrats know how to CLEAN HOUSE.

We want real Liberals.
Not ass-kissing fakes.

If Joe wins, maybe it will teach him a lesson that a LOT of so-called
Democrats need to learn. Don't F&#$ with your base.

1. I can settle.
I'll just take real Dems that vote with the party when the chips are down, and know how to stand up to aspiring tin-pot dictators.

Not too much to ask, really.

so Lieberman runs as Indie in November, WINS with repug support... and sits in an "I" seat... way to go base.

That's the question... do you want Lieberman in a "D" seat or an "I" seat?

10. True
But de we think Joe helped or hurt Gore?

I honestly thought he was a bone-headed choice.

I was happy because he was Jewish, it's long past time for that to be removed as a problem.
I was not happy when he brought religion into politics.

11. You missed Leahy and Kerry on censure, but you'd also have to
consider which Dems stood up for investigating the DSM, wouldn't you? There were only 10 senators there. And filibustering Alito was FAR more important than censure, as stopping Alito would have effected this country for generations to come - censure was a momentary gratification that had no LEGAL remedy attached or even consequence.

13. Censure Could Have Been Very Important
Censure was very, very important. Bush's key argument for violating the Constitution is that the Congress had given him permission to (by granting him the use of force on the "war on terror"). By censuring Bush, the Congress would have made it clear that they did not authorize these actions - thus, if Bush kept at it, there'd be a clear case for impeachment. By running from censure, the Democrats gave Bush a good defense.

I'll settle for a democrat that doesn't call fellow democrats traitors if they don't agree with our war criminal president.

"We undermine the president's credibility at our nation's peril," Joe Lieberman. I guess Joe thought we didn't get enough of that shit from republicans.

getting rid of the guy is a step in the right direction.

15. Will we get to see Joe admit defeat?
On national TV. Will Boy George kiss him and explain why they didn't get the vote rigged in his favor in time for him to win.
