Republicans are pissed off tonight. One of their moles just lost!!!! |
|
This reminds me of when Tom Daschle lost. Well sort of. He kissed the ass of Bush and when the Republicans challenger won they stomped on his grave. If Lieberman had won tonight Republicans would be calling for his head on a platter.
I see this as a good step for Democrats. I think Ned would win over many Republicans by not issuing speeches that support this country having "the strongest military in the world". He could blow this whole thing out of the water if he reminded Republicans of Eisenhower's warning of the Military industrial complex.
The military is the biggest pork barrel institution in our country.
Lieberman's indie run is doomed for failure and looks like he's only going to attract Republicans. Ann Coulter endorsed that idiot and we can consider that the kiss of death.
Congrats CT!!!! You struck a blow that will echo across this country.

they're HAPPY. They could NEVER win a seat in Ct.
NEVER.
So what do they do? Lamont wins the nom and Joe runs as an Indie. Joe gets the support from LOTS of Repugs and their MACHINE. Joe wins, Dems lose a seat to cover any losses the Repugs have in the senate.... who's the genius?

The Republcans are calling into Cspan admitting they have no shot in that state!!!!! They are ditching their Republican candidate to vote for Lieberman.
Know what that means?
Ole Joe now represents the far right in that state!!!!!!!

Watch the quandry this puts the right wingers in.
This should be a joy. States like CT and MA are two of your more left leaning states. An indie run bu Lieberman only confuses the fuck out of the right. They are going to have to spend their asses off to get their guy in their.
If Lamont becomes a bulldog on the lobbiests, WATCH OUT!!!!!
I'd love to see him call out the names of lobiests that donate to his challengers. Especially in a debate setting. That would seal the fucking deal in that state!!!!

...I think you're about to see what the reality check of this victory is going to do to the CT Dems and Indies. Now that they know what the majority of Dems think, they will be much more willing to back Lamont. He's no longer an upstart, he is now a victor, and America loves a winner.

Conservatives have a problem in where to send their money. They have to spend twice as much to get "their guy" in office.
The Republicans are calling into Cspan vowing to ditch the Republican candidate. Lamont should use that to club lieberman to death.

I have to believe that Connecticut Repubs are Lowell Weicker repubs. They have got to be just as disgusted with * as most of us. Can't believe they won't want to send a message of their own.. the conventional wisdom is that *Lieberman steals Dem votes... But maybe it's Lamont that will steal Repub votes.....

10. Cracking Republicans over the head |
|
with their own rhetoric is always an effective strategy.
Lieberman stands for absolutely fucking nothing!!!! He should have figured out that's why he lost. Voters don;t want a guy who's going to stand along side the other party. They want a guy who's going to fight for them.
