Americans business as usual approach to climate change is a moral failure

of the worst kind"

Will the polluters pay for climate change?
Should those hardest hit by global warming be compensated by the west?

Americans tend to talk a lot about morality and justice. But most Americans still fail to realize that their country's refusal to sign the Kyoto protocol, and their subsequent business-as-usual approach to greenhouse gas emissions, is a moral failing of the most serious kind. It is already having harmful consequences for others, and the greatest inequity is that it is the rich who are using most of the energy that leads to the emissions that cause climate change, while it is the poor who will bear most of the costs. (To see what you can do to reduce your own contribution, go here.)

If a polluter harms others, those who are harmed normally have a legal remedy. For example, if a factory leaks toxic chemicals into a river that I use to irrigate my farm, killing my crops, I can sue the factory owner. If the rich nations pollute the atmosphere with carbon dioxide, causing my crops to fail because of changing rainfall patterns, or my fields are inundated by a rise in the sea level, shouldn't I also be able to sue

Action is needed folks. The world and our decendants will quite rigtly blame us for this disaster. What are we going to do?????

1. First Global Warming...followed shortly thereafter with Global ICE AGE
Oceans will rise by 5 to 8 feet in best case scenario and by 20+ feet in worst case during GW Phase.

Famine will arrive in time to see million die of starvation..hundreds of millions...

War will result and more will die for that last tibits of food.

Cannibalism will rear her head.....eeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

3. Scientists are agog with concern and frustration as they watch their
warnings ignored by the deluded/ignorant World leaders and citizens.

Even as the ice caps melt, glaciers retreat, ice bergs the size of Conneticut, and ocean temps rise with Hurricanes more intense, etc, those in charge deny or down play the threat. Amazing.

Rush Limballs has for year denied GW

Bush must be listening cause he too is in a fog.

Now, adding to the threat/situation, the Brazilian Jungle is in a 2 year drought...one more year and it will be a desert...triggering a very negative result...

Humans are gonna have to make an extreme adjustment to meet the up coming food shortages....many will be let off to die. Pictures on the TV will be horrid.

We still have a very small window but if Bush continues his policies toward this end...it will be ALOHA/Goodbye/Adios/Mata Dozo/
