What was the official turnout in CT? |
|
A few weeks ago when Lieberman announced he was hedging his bets with a possible indy run, he claimed that low turnout might allow the small group of Lamont supporters to vote Joe out.
The Virginia primary had around a 3% turnout right? How was it in CT?

1. I read about 50%. Remarkable for a special primary. |

3. That should be one of the main messages |

Give us a DEMOCRAT to vote for and we'll get out and VOTE.
Give us more business as usual GOP-lite DLC "moderates," and we'll stay the hell home.

Never happened before in a primary election. CT hasn't seen those numbers since the 1994 gubernatorial race.
Yet, Joe still didn't get the message.
(On edit, re: the other post stating 50% -- The Secretary of State was initially saying it looked as if turnout would approach 55%. It didn't quite get there. This morning's papers are reporting about 40%, still historic.)
