What's BP doing to solve the energy problems?

They're cutting costs by not cleaning the oil pipelines. They've paid off people in the state government of Alaska, who are supposed to oversee their operations. And now they are going to stick it to the consumers. I'm surprised there isn't more discussion of this going on here this morning. A relative of mine who lives in Alaska told me she talked to someone with inside information that this scandal was going to get bigger and bigger. Big political ripples are going to come out of this - especially in the state of Alaska. Hopefully people will pay attention in the lower 48 (and Hawaii).

the yearly dividend is plenty of motivation to turn a blind eye.

2. Guess who gets punished with higher costs and who

gets rewarded for damaging the enviroment by deliberate force of will to maximize profit. This is what happens under capitalism WITHOUT CONTROLS. Worship your mammon and then wonder what happened.
