Can we now do the same in New York state?
Our primary is just a month away . Jonathan Tasini http://www.tasinifornewyork.org/ will be on the ballot to challenge Hillary Clinton. His positions are similar to Ned Lamont's. Unfortunately, he has not attained the same name recognition here that Ned Lamont had before the CT primary.

I recognize that there are Clinton supporters here just as there were Lieberman supporters during yesterday's race. However, I believe that Tasini's positions are much more aligned with those here at DU.

Do you think he can do what Lamont did yesterday? Any suggestions on how to best get his message out?

9. Why unlikely?
Is the reason you think that only because Tasini doesn't have *a boatload of money* to spend wisely? If Lamont did it, why can't Tasini?

10. I'm sure there are other reasons
But not having money is reason enough to think that it's very, very unlikely that Tasini has a chance... especially when his opponent is rolling in dough and name recognition and has the support of the party machinery.

11. He doesn't have Lamont's money,
and Clinton hasn't pissed off New Yorkers as much as Liberman did CT Dems. She didn't bolt the party, smooch with the president, etc. He would need massive money donations to even start competing with her.

3. First of all, New York is not Connecticut.
Second, Hillary is not as offensive as Lieberman is. Third, Hillary said that she work to elect the Democratic Nomminee, that would be Ned Lamont.

4. At least you won't see HRC on Hannity and Colmes...
...talking about what's wrong with today's Democratic Party. HRC has her own opinions, but she's a loyal Democrat, and she sticks up for New York. Fuggedaboudit.

6. I realize all of that...
...but considering positions only, I would place Lamont/Tasini at one end of the spectrum and Lieberman/Clinton at the other. If it can happen in CT I'm hopeful it can also happen in NY. Tasini just has to get his message out the way Lamont did.

7. I don't think bush ever kissed Hillary.
She doesn't raise as much animosity as Lieberman did.
