Protesters Challenge 'The Terminator's" Education Policies - 08/09/06

California protesters at Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's campaign photo op at a Salinas high school Tuesday were out to terminate the terminator. Vinny Loardo takes us there.

"TERMINATE THE TERMINATOR"

California ranks 48th in the nation for public education funding.
School's are overcrowded, lack adequate facilities, and suffer from a
shortage of credentialed teachers, critics say. As a result, students
in California lag behind most other states'. Last month, the U.S.
Department of Education, threatened to cut millions in federal school
aid from California, unless low-performing students can show
improvements. Meanwhile, Schwarzenegger is touting a recent state
budget investment of $100 million into Vocational Programs as one
solution to the state's education woes.
