Maliki - Who's Side Is He On?......... |
|
After his recent visit to Washington - there seems to be a change in this man. Since his visit - I've been hearing on the news channels that he seems to be outwardly disagreeing with *Co - or at least not as supportive as you would think he'd be as a * puppet.
I'm wondering if there are some Rovian tactics going on behind the scene here.
Could it be that perhaps Maliki is a potential set-up by *Co/Rove to create an excuse for *Co to begin some sort of pull-out of Iraq to save face?
If Maliki says that the Iraqi's would be better off in Iraq if the U.S. Troops began to leave *Co can use that and say that the Iraqi's have asked us.
Then if things do tailspin out of control *Co essentially would be able to kill two birds with one stone: 1) some sort of withdrawal from Iraq to resonate with the U.S. voters; 2) an excuse if things get worse after we would leave.
Just an observation and some thoughts. I'm open for comments.

1. He's on his side. His own. The Maliki side. |
|
He wants to live. So he doesn't wanna fight al-Sadr. He doesn't wanna be seen as a sock puppet. Though he does want US troops around as long as they're needed to keep him in one piece.

He is trying to stay on the high wire with the wind blowing at ever increasing intensity.
