Bring back democracy for the USA
Renew our commitment to the UN as a world agent for peace among nations

16. I love your signature line
May peace be in Iraq, in Palestine, in Lebanon and throughout the Middle East, may we recognize
their great love and respect for each other and the Koran
and may Israel find peace with her neighbors.

And may Ned Lamont win and help progressive democratic ideals live again in the democratic
party.

19. Yes, peace throughout the Middle East
America is solely responsible for the ongoing tragedy in Iraq and a co-conspirator to the ongoing violence in Palestine and Lebanon.

Lamont's win will be a win for the millions of Americans who say No More Elective Wars!

20. I wish we never went there, I did not want us to go into Iraq
I wanted us to wait for the UN, but Bush pushed, pushed, pushed; he was like a man with
a burr under his saddle, It is senseless to rush to war, war is never over in a day, in
a week, in a year, but long after those who suffer through it are tired of it. I am
so glad Ned Lamont is not a yes man, and I think it's good to have someone who has had
a success in the private sector come in as a elected official.

10. Thanks to all who voted
Let's keep up the good work, Ned Lamont looks like he has a battle shaping up, it's not
often that a president endorses a primary loser against a challenger of his own party.
But I have faith in all of you, you have taught me to believe in dems again, I learned
it right here at DU when Andy was ill. Thanks again.

Edited on Wed Aug-09-06 07:05 PM by MissWaverly
Not the corner we are always turning in Iraq but the corner in what we are looking for in a
candidate, we have a candidate that understands rhetoric cannot replace strategy and
diplomacy. He listens to us and goes forward with our support. May Ned Lamont win
the Senate race in Connecticut against all odds.

very artistic placed near the moon, it's head and shoulders above our usual ones, as for user
names, I am going to keep mine, it fits me, but I wish the name DemocraticUnderground was shorter, It's quite a handful to keep entering.

26. A big Texas "thanks, y'all" to everyone in the Lamont campaign
Now that you're ahead, please do all your fellow Democrats a big favor - don't screw it up! We need Ned Lamont in the Senate so badly that it hurts. He can work with other new Democratic Senators such as Barbara Ann Radnofsky from TX (who will replace Kay Bailey Hutchison). That'll be sweet.

scrolled so fast people didn't get a chance to enter anything and when people complained they

36. Lamont is my HERO!!!
Lieberman has invested too much into the current administration. this shows on Lieberman's policies on the Iraqi conquest and his statements made concerning the current conflict in Lebanon. In fact, his voting record shows that he leans more to the right than to the left. Basically, in my mind, him leaving the Democratic party is nothing more than a thorn finally being extracted from the behind of the Democratic party.

Lamont is the truest model of a modern day hero. He had a very difficult, grassroots campaign and managed to defeat the incumbent in a race for the primaries. Sorry Joe, you lose Connecticut because voters are realizing that you have thrown full support behind someone who is willing to send as many of our young boys overseas to fight his years. You are a warmonger and a traitor, you will not succeed in your bid to return to the Senate and will only make yourself look more like an ass in your desperate attempt.
