Federal investigators are examining her dealings with a contractor
who made illegal campaign contributions.

WASHINGTON - Federal investigators want to question two more former staffers
of Rep. Katherine Harris as part of a growing federal inquiry into the
relationship between the congresswoman and a defense contractor.

The FBI called Jim Dornan, a former campaign manager for Harris' Senate campaign,
and Kara Borie, a former spokeswoman in Harris' congressional office, last week.
Neither has been questioned yet.

APOPKA — In the face of falling poll numbers and harsh criticism from her GOP primary
challengers, U.S. Rep. Katherine Harris said Tuesday that her U.S. Senate campaign
is gaining momentum.

One of those challengers, Will McBride, repeated his request that Harris apologize
for remarks made by one of her supporters at a campaign event Friday in Pinellas
County.

A woman wearing a Harris sticker asked McBride whether it was true that he had changed his name from Rodriguez to McBride.

Katherine Harris demands apology after Howard Dean compares her to Stalin

"Florida Congresswoman Katherine Harris, a candidate for the U.S. Senate, has demanded an apology from the head of the Democratic National Party for likening her to Stalin, news partner NewsChannel 5 reported on Friday.

She's angry at Democratic leader Howard Dean for the comments he made at a fundraiser in West Palm Beach on Wednesday when he compared her to former Soviet dictator Josef Stalin and called her a "crook."

Dean also called the Iraqi prime minister an "anti-Semite" during an address before party loyalists on Wednesday, drawing a swift rebuke from Republicans.

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, who addressed a joint session of Congress Wednesday, came under fire from Democrats for recent comments on the conflict in Lebanon between Israel and the terrorist group Hezbollah. Al-Maliki hasn't condemned Hezbollah, but he criticized the "Israeli aggression."
