Feingold's Israel/Lebanon stance |
|
While I absolutely support him in many ways: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=2770025&mesg_id=2770025His unbalanced approach, to the current conflict, troubles me. Seems to me that a man of his intelligence would take a more neutral stance for peace. Is this another case where religion and politics are creating a toxic mix? http://www.jsonline.com/watch/?watch=1&date=7/15/2006&id=8593

2. Here is the exact quote of Feingold's statement.... |
|
Feingold posted a statement on his Web site Friday saying, "I stand firmly with the people of Israel and their government as they defend themselves against these outrageous attacks."
The more relevant question I have is of U.S. Sen. Russ Feingold as a senator and as a possible candidate for president in 2008 are these.
1) How does U.S. Sen. Russ Feingold stand regarding the Bush policy and actions in the Middle East in their failing to request an immediate cease fire and seek a diplomatic resolution to the problems between Israel and Palestinians?
2) Does U.S. Sen. Russ Feingold support or oppose the Bush doctrine of continuing and accelerating the supply of high tech weapons to Israel for use in Israel's indiscriminate bombing of civilian targets?
