Wow - I have to agree with KOS on this one. Wish Dem candidate in my state - Bob Casey - would get ads like this. Media consultants

It's no secret that I have little more than contempt for the vast majority of Democratic Party media consultants. It's a theme we hit hard in Crashing the Gate, and it's one that we saw in all its glory in the Connecticut Senate primary, where Lamont adman and political outsider Bill Hillsman ran circles around Lieberman's DC bigshot firm Carter Eskew.
Hillsman makes most of his money doing corporate ads, much like Feingold's guy, Steve Eichenbaum. As such, they are conditioned to provide a GOOD product. Unlike political candidates that come and go, corporate clients are always around and demand results and accountability. It's no big secret to note that the typical political cookie-cutter ad doesn't come close to matching the production values and effectiveness of your typical big-budget corporate ad.
Last night, Aravosis pointed to Eliot Spitzer's commercials, remarking how fabulous they were.
And they are. Incredible work. Beautifully crafted, emotionally powerful, crystal clear messaging. Watch the ad called "Let it shine". Stunningly beautiful. Same with "Tribute". Or "Fighting For".

The ads are written by screenwriter, Madison Avenue maven, and political novice Jimmy Siegel and produced by Moxie Pictures. Siegel worked until recently at the legendary firm BBDO. He put together the Super Bowl Visa ad with Bob Dole and the "Yo, Yao" ads with Yao Ming.
