Dean in CA says a vote for Arnold is a vote for Bush's policies.
He was in CA today rallying with Art Torres, Phil Angelides, and other leaders.

Democratic Party chairman stresses Schwarzenegger-Bush comparison

Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean on Friday said California voters would be endorsing the policies of President Bush if they re-elect Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger in November.

Dean was helping fellow Democrat Phil Angelides, who is battling Schwarzenegger in the November election, spread one of his central campaign messages.

Surrounded by cheering teachers, nurses, gay-rights activists and firefighters at a labor union hall, Dean and other elected officials compared Schwarzenegger's record on the environment, deficit spending, immigration reform and corporate influence with the president's.

Dean also used the occasion to address the conventional wisdom that Democrats lose national elections when voters believe they are soft on defense. He said the fact that Osama bin Laden is still on the loose five years after the Sept. 11 terrorist attack and that both Iran and North Korea have improved their nuclear weapons capability shows the nation is less safe today than when Bush was elected in 2000.

3. Says president is trying to scare us again....mentions Lamont.
and what they are saying about him.

http://cbs5.com/local/local_story_223214415.html

"And Dean used the occassion to hit recent Republican comments about terrorism.

Dean said, "The president and his team out there -- Karl Rove and all his folks -- they're tring to scare people again. You hear what they said about Ned Lamont's win: 'Oh, well, that's a good thing for al Qeada.' That's what Dick Cheney said. I'll tell you what the best recruiting tool for al Qaeda has been, and you know who that is."

And kudos to Gavin Newsom, who mentions terrorism and politics in the same sentence:

"Newsom said, "Before the last presidential election, there wasn't a week that went by when I didn't get a security briefing. Since the last presidential eleciton, I can't recall one specific incident where I've had a security briefing. Did the world change that dramatically after the last election? Or is there a tremendous amount of politics being played as it relates to terror threats when it's convenient?"

4. kick
I hope elected CA Dems don't "play dead" like they did during the recall of Gray Davis. The time to speak up is NOW.

6. He's a celebrity.
Sadly, sickeningly, nauseatingly, that's it. Literally, no other reason.

I can not even imagine why Arnold is ahead in the polls. It is not even sinking into my brain.

I will not watch another Speilberg movie now that I know he is supporting Arnold.

It just boggles my mind.
