They freely use our National Guard for **pure** political purposes. |

Mitt was the first to sprint to the nearest teevee camera to report that he's bravely activated the Massachussetts National Guard to protect our air traveling public. A quick stop to make sure every sculpted hair was in place and there he was, all smiley and smarmy and fake sincerity.
Next up was the less attactive but even more toady George Pataki, gittin' 'er done fer New York.
Ahnuld tried but the City of Oakland (gawdamm fukkin libruls) said thanks but no thanks.
Sixty of my own state's National Guard are down there in the southwest someplace, keepin' the Minute Men (is that a sexual reference, I wonder??) company.
Boots and suits. M16s. HumVee Heidie Hos. Night scopes and whip antennas. Mulutury Guys. Keepin' 'em safe.
This is all a big sorry-assed show. Added to the indignities heaped on the flying public they overlay some visual fear. Guys with Guns and Helmets. Wearing dessert camo (in Boston? You guys havin' a water shortage up there?).
This whole thing is pre-election street theater. The price of admission? One vote for the Red team.
Fuck this. This country is so fucked up its crazy. And the hell of it is ...... there are way too many dumbfucks who buy this shit.
PLEAZE give us a won in 06. PLEEEEEEEEEEEEZE GOD. I'll even go to confession. I'll take Communion. I'll become an alter boy. Whatever it takes. Remember that crap I used to promise when I was young and bed-rolling, room spinning drunk? I was lying to ya then, God. No more. This time I mean it.
I PROMISE.

Except for the reference to god. Clearly, the deity has abandoned us, and we deserve it.

God Bless her for serving her country. What a tragic waste of a precious life. Republicans sitting in air conditioned, prestigious power dens make decisions that get our best and brightest killed. It's hard to be a proud American when our leaders care less about us than their money and careers - or their egos. But I still am a proud American, and I am angry enough to stay the course and remove Republicans from office. The solution really is that simple, the process made harder by a corrupt media.
