RE: "Bush staff wanted bomb-detect cash moved"
So, what was Bush doing to protect us during the past few months when he KNEW about the Brits' ongoing investigation of the plot to use LIQUIDS to blow holes in airliners?

Bush was TRYING to DIVERT the "$6 million that was supposed to be spent this year developing new homeland explosives detection technology."

Bush was TRYING to DIVERT that funding elsewhere when he KNEW that terrorists were working to develop a plot to explode devices on airliners.

Bush should be tried for TREASON.

PLEASE make sure your friends and family know about all of these Bushite failures to protect us.

Remember, if Bush had not pulled our military forces OUT of Afghanistan before we had finished wiping out the Al Qaeda, including Osama bin Laden (Bush pulled them out so he could invade Iraq instead), the British based terrorists would not have been able to meet with Al Qaeda OR get any tips or hints from Al Qaeda on how to blow holes in airliners. Al Qaeda would have been kaput.

But Bush DID pull out troops OUT of Afghanistan before the mission was completed -- because he was obsessed with invading Iraq. There were NO Al Qaeda in Iraq UNTIL AFTER Bush invaded there and deposed Saddam Hussein.

So, we have the horrible fact that the Al Qaeda have grown STRONGER in Afghanistan and have established a foothold in Iraq -- all thanks to Bush and his gang.

Bush wants us to be under constant threat of terrorist attack -- that way he can keep us in a constant state of fear and he can pretend to be on top of things. And his friends in the media seem only too happy to skew the news so that we will think Bush is actually protecting us when, in fact, he is putting us in harm's way.

For gosh sakes, write to media people and complain about this insane idea that Bush and his criminal band of Republicans will keep us safer than Democrats would. That is insanity and contrary to the FACTS. Clinton National Security Adviser Sandy Berger TOLD Condoleezza Rice, in Jan. 2001, that terrorism would be the new administration's MOST URGENT problem.

< Later, alone in his office with (Condoleezza) Rice, (Sandy) Berger says he told her, "I believe that the Bush Administration will spend more time on terrorism generally, and on al-Qaeda specifically, than any other subject." >

< (Richard) Clarke had a set of proposals to "roll back" al-Qaeda. In fact, the heading on Slide 14 of the Powerpoint presentation reads, "Response to al Qaeda: Roll back." Clarke's proposals called for the "breakup" of al-Qaeda cells and the arrest of their personnel.>

Rice yawned.

Bush scoffed.

Cheney sneered.

And 9/11 happened on THEIR watch.

< Frustrated by what he saw as an inadequate response to terrorism, (Richard) Clarke sent a memo to national security adviser Condoleezza Rice one week before the deadly attacks, blasting the Defense Department for not doing enough against al Qaeda and criticizing the CIA for holding up a plan to arm Predator drones.>

< "If Condi Rice had been doing her job and holding those daily meetings the way Sandy Berger did, if she had a hands-on attitude to being national security adviser when she had information that there was a threat against the United States ... (the information) would have been shaken out in the summer of 2001," (Richard) Clarke told (Larry) King.>

"Bush staff wanted bomb-detect cash moved"

by JOHN SOLOMON,
The Associated Press
Aug 11, 2006

< While the British terror suspects were hatching their plot, the Bush administration was quietly seeking permission to divert $6 million that was supposed to be spent this year developing new homeland explosives detection technology.>

< Lawmakers and recently retired Homeland Security officials say they are concerned the department's research and development effort is BOGGED DOWN by bureaucracy, LACK of strategic planning and FAILURE to use money wisely.>

< A 2005 report to Congress similarly urged that the trace detectors be used more aggressively, and strongly warned the CONTINUING FAILURE to distribute such detectors to foreign airports "may be an INVITATION to terrorist to ply their trade, using techniques that they have already used on a number of occasions.">

screw ups.

A measle 6 million for bomb detection/protection is not high on bush's list of "to do" things. Don't tell all those "true believers" what bush is really doing to keep us safe - nothing - except stirring the terrorism pot and putting this poor old world in bigger turmoil that it has been in since - - too pissed off to think that hard, but, a long time. His black is white routine sells to the masses after the media tells them how to think. Ugh!

Edit: recommended
