With every Republican crying foul over Lieberman, it proves he was a tool
Today's Post Gazette has whiney Ruth Ann Dailey moaning and crying like a baby that Lieberman was betrayed by his party...

Well Joe..I hate to tell you this...but when the likes of Jack Kelly, whiny Ruthy and the rest are the only ones defending you....it proves you were a tool of the right wing.

I didn't like you when Gore picked you....your droopy dog demeanor and your lackluster debate performance were enough to make me cringe...the fact that you were running for US Senate at the same time as you were campaigning for VP...that proved that it was all about you...and you wanted to cover your bases...no risk taking for you...just going along to get along ...

Well Joe...2600+ dead US soldiers later and you still don't see what is wrong with the war...just like you can't see how dissatisfied the Democrats and a lot of other Americans are about this war, this economy and the general state of affairs.

So Joe...cry on the right wing's shoulder and let us see how they love you when you are no longer useful.

1. Even if a particular date-rape victim suffers from the Stockholm
syndrome, Democrats recoil at the very idea of it - never mind hearing it defended by the very political party that identified it.

2. Gore thought Clinton's affairs were going to rub-off, so he picked...
Clinton's biggest critic of said affairs as a way of distancing himself from Clinton. IMHO, it was Gore's biggest mistake. Interestingly, after that, Gore gave up "playing politics" and now shoots pretty much straight from the hip. Good for him.

3. Don't forget "the call" from Kral Rove offering help after Joe's loss
And that Dick Cheney & Tony Snow both said that al Qaeda was
watching the CT dem primary.

Or that Sean Hannity says that Ned's win hurts the dems.

4. And those same people
Will be shouting for joy when Chafee loses his primary. It'll be pretty funny to watch them and their hypocrisy when a moderate republican loses to the fringe right. I can't wait to see it.

7. There is no doubt in my mind that Joe had 'an arrangement' with the
Republicans. I believe it wasn't just idealism. I believe it was an old-fashioned behind the scene arrangement. What I don't know (for myself) is when the arrangement was made and the extent of it because he did vote Democratic on some issues. In hindsight, he did it to himself with obvious (to me) benefits to his pocket.

I relish the regrets Republicans are displaying. They are rarely this honest.

9. Here's a link to Ruth Ann's article:
She really needs to quit with her incessant whining. What a baby.

<snip>
If the greatest issue of our time is the war against terrorism, and if the issue is so important that it ought to transcend partisan politics -- as conservative talk show hosts keep insisting -- then now is the time for the Republican Party to withdraw its candidate from Connecticut's race for United States Senate.

Tuesday's primary pitting Joe Lieberman, the Democratic senator and former vice presidential candidate, against multimillionaire businessman and left-wing-blog darling Ned Lamont has been repeatedly touted as a referendum on the war in Iraq.

It need not be, but that's how it will enter the history books if the Republican Party fights the leftist spin with nothing other than counter-spin.

In service of the principle that national interest trumps party politics, conservatives should goad their party to action, just as anti-war activists have mobilized the Democrats, and force party leaders to cede the immediate battle for the Connecticut seat. They've got little to lose, and the country has a lot to win.
