Let's play "Categorize the Nutters"
We often, for the sake of brevity, paint with a broad brush. And because of that, we sometimes lose sight of the fact that it isn't really a monolithic bloc we face. Just as we're made of of many factions, subfactions, special interests, hot buttons, cares and woes, so do they.

Let's try to put some of the more obvious ones into categories .... or buckets.

Here's just a few to start things off.

Bang Bangs:

These are the ones who enjoy wearing camo to church or work or the bar. They love guns and see bullets as a way to solve every problem. Whether the issue is protecting their daughter from rape or protecting the country from foreginers, the gun is at the center of any solution.

Hallelujiah Brigade:

Overly religious and consumed with the Old Testament, they tend to see everything as a religious matter. While they overlap with many other categories, at their core its all Jesus all the time. (I've never been able to reconcile the connection between Jesus and the Old Testament, but that's just me.)

Now its your turn. Create a category title and fill the bucket.

1. The unappreciative
The fucking religiously insane lunatics who hate the constitution, the one document that gives them the freedom to be religiously insane lunatics. They just don't appreciate it. And, this wack job liberal thinks they don't deserve the liberties bestowed upon them by that document because of their nasty ass attitude towards it.

3. The Tragically Faithful
Edited on Mon Aug-14-06 04:17 PM by izzybeans
They are not overtly evangelizing their friends or neighbors. However the power of prayer is their only chosen method of social action. This method of social action becomes tragic when it results in social paralysis. Jobless, oppressed, and left behind these folks do crosswords in the newspaper and wait for their prayers to be answered. The tragedy lies in the advertisements for community empowerment projects and the adult education partnerships at the local college that have been defaced in boredom with the words "commie bastards" and "liberal fucktard". These folks prove this maxim: a prayer unanswered is a real opportunity wasted.
