CBS News Poll: Little Lord Pissypants holding on tight to his 36% mandate |
|
The arrests in Britain have not helped President Bush's popularity so far, the CBS poll finds. His job approval remains exactly at 36 percent, where it was a month ago. Even the president's rating for handling terrorism – his strongest suit – remains unchanged at 51 percent. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/08/14/opinion/polls/main1890820.shtmlMost Important Problem

3. His numbers have stabilized the past few months, but I look for them to |

start to slide again, once we get closer to November. I keep hearing there's some bad economic news coming, and with the price of gas staying high, the 9/11 Commission announcement that they were lied to, two sets of books being kept to hide the real numbers, etc., I think the future looks pretty grim for the GOP.
Americans have to digest this stuff a bit. The terror threat is not packing the wallop it once did, which concerns me because these loonies are likely plotting another attack over here, just to stir the pot.
Of course, such an attack, God forbid, if it happens will further erode their support, as it will serve as proof positive to the American people that the war on terror is indeed being lost. After 5 years and billions of dollars, the fact that another attack over here is still a possibility shows we aren't making progress, despite the lies we're being told.
Anyone know what "Mr. 18%" Cheney's numbers are? I haven't seen anything recent on him.
